Mac's 'Rumours' Joins Alltime Best Sellers

Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album "Rumours" has been certified by the Recording Industry Association of America for domestic sales of 18 million, making the Warner Bros. setthe third highest certified single-disc album. Among all full-lengths, "Rumours" is now tied with Billy Joel's "Greatest Hits Volume I and II" for fourth place. Preceding both sets are Pink Floyd's 2-CD package "The Wall" (22 million), the Eagles' "Eagles -- Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" (24 million), and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" (25 million).

Awarded a Grammy for album of the year, "Rumours" logged 31 weeks at the top of The Billboard 200 and spawned top-10 singles "Go Your Own Way," "Dreams," "Don't Stop," and "You Make Loving Fun." Fleetwood Mac celebrated the set's 20th anniversary last year with a reunion tour.
