Rolling Stone (10/08/1987), Lindsey's Departure
Penguin

Rolling Stone -- October 8, 1987

Lindsey Buckingham's sudden departure to resume his solo career is a critical blow to the Mac; he was the principal musical and song writing influence in the group's successful shift from English blues rock to platinum pop exotica. For these live shows he's been replaced by two able guitarists--Billy Burnette and Rick Vito--and the set list will still include a number of popular Buckingham-penned numbers, as well as Mac smashes dating back to 1969's "Oh Well."
