VH1 (08/19/1997), "Rumours" of Fleetwood Mac Covers
VH1, August 19, 1997 "Rumours" of Fleetwood Covers On top of producing the album and rehearsing for Fleetwood Mac's upcoming reunion tour, Fleetwood Mick has just started his own record label, Fleetwood Music. The first release will be from the 18-year-old protégé Talulah.
Not only is Mick Fleetwood overseeing her progress in the studio, but he also oversaw her childhood. She is the daughter of Peter Bardens, the musician who is credited for giving Fleetwood Mac their first gig. Fleetwood has known her since she was born.
The first album on Fleetwood Music is planned for release in 1998, but first a distribution deal needs to be secured. As quoted in the online music magazine Allstar, Fleetwood plans to have his label around for some time to come. "This is something I consider to have good training for," he says. "In the next 10 years, I would be very, very, very happy nurturing talent and finding talent."
