Undercover Music News (10/03/2004), Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer Reunite
Undercover Music News (Australia), October 3, 2004 Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer Reunite Original Fleetwood Mac guitarist Jeremy Spencer has reunited with Fleetwood Mac founder Mick Fleetwood for the first time in 34 years. Spencer makes a guest appearance on the new Mick Fleetwood Band album 'Something Big'. Spencer was there at the start of Fleetwood Mac in 1967 but left in 1971 to join a religious cult. It was Spencer's work that you hear on their classic 'Oh Well'. Fleetwood Mac bass player John McVie also drops in on the Mick Fleetwood Band album, as does Oliver Brown from KC and the Sunshine Band and Matt Andes from Jo Jo Gunne. The core of the band is Fleetwood on drums, co-producer and writer Todd Smallwood on guitar and vocalist Lauren Evans. Evans is known to some as an actor. She won an Emmy for her role in the TV show Bliss. Fleetwood will release the album titled 'Something Big' as an Indie on his own TallMan label through Sanctuary Records. "I feel blessed to offer you this music, especially as it is the first album on my record label TallMan" he says at his website. "I began this project not really knowing how or where it would end up, but I started the journey spending countless days and nights in an old farm house studio with Todd Smallwood on his avocado ranch in Santa Paula, California". Fleetwood Mac fans can also look forward to the Live in Boston CD/DVD later this year.
